
BRENAN COLE, OKLAHOMA
Brenan Cole grew up in Olathe, Colorado where he wrestled and graduated from Olathe High School as a 2-time state runner-up. Enlisted active duty in the Navy in 2014 and started officiating wrestling in Virginia Beach, Virginia from 2014 to 2016. Had the pleasure of officiating the NHSCA National duals tournament in 2016. Transferred to Oklahoma in 2016 and is stationed at Tinker AFB at VQ-3 currently. In 2019, officiated the 75th Geary Invitational, Mid-America Nationals, Tulsa Nationals, 3A West Regionals, 2019 State Wrestling Tournament as a finals mat official. Voted The Ed Jacobson Award Winner for 2019 among all officials in Oklahoma.

GARY HOBBS, MISSOURI
1. Started my love for wrestling in high school at Winnetonka in Kansas City.
2. Coached youth wrestling for 13 years.
3. President of Platte City Youth Wrestling for three years.
4. Three boys wrestled youth and high school.
5. Oldest son was State Champion for Platte County in 2001.
6. I am in my 15th season as an official.
7. Have officiated the Missouri USA Folkstyle State Tournament the last
8 years. 8. Have worked the MSHSAA State Tournament three times.
9. This is my 11th season officiating Freestyle and Greco.
10. Have done multiple Schoolboy, Cadet, Junior Regional and National Tournaments including Fargo 2017.
JOHN DEFRIES - MISSOURI
This is my 23rd year as an MSHSAA registered official. I am currently serving as the state mechanics clinician for Northern Missouri. On the mat, I have been a Missouri State Tournament official for eight years as well as an Adidas Nationals tournament official. The Missouri USA Hall of Fame recognized me in the Class of 2013 for coaching, officiating, and administrative council work. Looking forward to becoming an RMN tournament official for years to come. Married with wife Lynn and 4 children who have 11 grandkids. Retired after 33 years with Ford Motor Company.
