Alan DePatto graduated from high school in New Jersey where he wrestled 3 years, making it to regionals 2 times. Alan has been refereeing high school wrestlers for ten years. His resume in freestyle and Greco for over 25 years is far more extensive, including several Fargo Cadet/Jr. Nationals, Kids Nationals, national duals, as well as international competition. For Alan, “RMM means more opportunity to work bigger events and the opportunity to learn as well as increase my skills.”

Officiated: Minnesota USA State Wrestling Championships (25X); U.S. Cadet/Junior Nationals in Fargo (22X); U.S. Open – Freestyle & Greco (10X); Minnesota State High School (13X). Philosophy of Officiating: continuous action, respect the sport and give the crowd what they pay to see: technique. My philosophy is I don’t care what your record is. I don’t want to know your record – you need to prove your worth each time you step on the mat.

Hailing from Minnesota, do not underestimate Mark Levasseur! A 22-time USA Veteran National Champion, Mark has also earned two silver medals at 58 kg in the Veteran World Championships. As an official, Mr. Levasseur has officiated the past twelve Minnesota state championships in all three styles as well as 12 freestyle and Greco Nationals for Kids and Cadets / Juniors (Fargo). He has also officiated the Olympic Team Trials and USA Nationals for several years.

This is his 2nd Freak Show and he also has officiated the RMN National Championships in Denver. What he most looks forward in officiating RMN Events is “definitely the excitement of the event and the athletes involved. RMN does put on a great opportunity for the athletes to get top-level competition and to be officiated by some of the best officials in the country. Their tournaments are a fantastic measure of where the athletes are in their journey to best the best they can be.”

I have been a wrestling official for the last 6 years and have officiated numerous folkstyle wrestling events, for all levels and all age groups from youth to high school. I love officiating because I get the opportunity to give back to a sport that has given me so much. I have been able to create life-long relationships with coaches, wrestlers, and officials.
